JOHN ALLEN FCA, FCCA, MABRP (Insolvency)
John is the Senior Partner with over 45 years experience in general practice. John joined Arthur Mabe to create Mabe Allen in 1973. A member of the Society of Insolvency Practitioners he specialises in insolvency, audit, taxation and tax investigations. John is the Treasurer and a Past President of the Derby Society of Chartered Accountants. John is also a Director of Midland Financial Solutions Limited and has other business interests.

KEVIN SLACK FCA, FCCA (Corporate Finance)
Kevin, the Managing Partner, has been with the Practice for over 30 years. Kevin advises the SME sector on a range of commercial issues including acquisitions, strategic planning and disposals of businesses. A member of the Institute of Directors and a Governor of South East Derbyshire College, Kevin is a past President of the Nottingham, Derby & Lincoln Society of Chartered Accountants and is a member of the Audit, Corporate Finance and Tax Faculty of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. Kevin is also a Director of a number of private companies including Managing Director of Midland Financial Solutions Limited.

BRIAN SUTTON FCA, CTA (Taxation)
Brian was Senior Partner with Fuller Worboys before the practice merged with Mabe Allen. Today he advises on all aspects of both personal and commercial taxation.
In his spare time he acts as Treasurer for the League of Friends of the City Hospital, Nottingham and also for Moorgreen Show and he is a keen golfer.

CHRIS HOPKINSON FCA, FCCA (Small Business/Farmers)
After leaving school Chris trained at Fuller Worboys and remained with the practice to become a Partner. Since the merger with Mabe Allen in 1996 Chris has further developed his role as specialist dealing with sole traders, partnerships and family companies. Chris is a Past President and current Committee Member of the Derby Society of Chartered Accountants and is also a Director of Midland Financial Solutions Limited. Chris is a keen walker in his spare time.

DAVID ALLEN FCA, FCCA, BA(Hons) (Audit/IT)
David gained an Honours Degree in Birmingham before training with Robson Rhodes in Leicester. Qualifying with distinction in 1991 he joined Mabe Allen LLP a year later concentrating on Audit, Accountancy and Taxation Areas. David has since developed information technology skills used in both internal and external systems installations. Based in the Ripley office, he also acts as Treasurer for a local sports club. David is also a Director of Midland Financial Solutions Limited.
