JOHN ALLEN (Insolvency)
John is the Senior Partner with over 40 years experience in general practice. Educated at Bemrose Grammar School he qualified at the age of twenty one before spending five years at Touche Ross, and then joining Arthur Mabe to create Mabe Allen in 1973. A member of the Association of Business Recovery Professionals, he specialises in bankruptcy, audit, taxation and tax investigations. John is the Treasurer and a Past President of the Derby Society of Chartered Accountants.

KEVIN SLACK (Corporate Finance)
Kevin, the Managing Partner, has been with the Practice for over 30 years. Kevin advises the SME sector on a range of commercial issues including acquisitions, strategic planning and disposals of businesses. A member of the Institute of Directors and a Governor of South East Derbyshire College, Kevin is currently President of the Nottingham, Derby & Lincoln Society of Chartered Accountants and is a member of the Audit, Corporate Finance and Tax Faculty of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

BRIAN SUTTON (Taxation)
Brian was educated at Nottingham High School and after serving his articles in Nottingham his qualification as a Chartered Accountant was swiftly followed by a further qualification as Member of the Institute of Taxation. He was a Partner
with Fuller Worboys and Co. before the practice merged with Mabe Allen. Today he advises on all aspects of both personal and commercial taxation. He finds time
to act as Treasurer for the League of Friends of the City Hospital and also for Moorgreen Show.

CHRIS HOPKINSON (Small Business/Agricultural Specialist)
Educated at Ripley Technical School, Chris remains loyal to his roots with his office in the town. After leaving school he was articled to Fuller Worboys and Co. and remained with the practice to become a Partner. Since the merger with Mabe Allen in 1996 Chris has further developed his role as specialist dealing with sole traders, partnerships and family companies including the preparation of accounts, audit and taxation. Chris is a Past President and current Committee Member of the Derby Society of Chartered Accountants.

DAVID ALLEN (Audit/IT)
An Old Reptonian, David gained an Honours Degree in Birmingham before training with Robson Rhodes in Leicester. Qualifying with distinction in 1991 he joined Mabe Allen LLP a year later concentrating on Audit, Accountancy and Taxation Areas. David has since developed information technology skills used in both internal and external systems installations. Based at Ripley he also acts as Treasurer for a local sports club.
